Adams Morgan Movie Nights

Adams Morgan Movie Nights is a beloved community tradition that brings neighbors and visitors together under the stars for free outdoor film screenings. Held seasonally at the scenic soccer field at Marie Reed Recreation Center, the series features a curated lineup of nostalgic favorites, cult classics, and feel-good crowd-pleasers.

Each screening begins at sundown and is free and open to the public. Guests are encouraged to bring a blanket, pack a picnic, and enjoy a relaxing evening in one of D.C.’s most vibrant neighborhoods. Local restaurants often offer takeout specials to pair with your movie night, making it the perfect way to support small businesses while enjoying a night out. Alcohol and pets are not allowed on the field during the movie.

The lineup for this year's series:

  • May 21: Rocky
  • May 28: East Side Sushi
  • June 4: Hamilton Sing-along
  • June 11: Sitar Arts Center Family Night*
  • June 18: MILK (pride night)

*On June 11, we're partnering with Sitar Arts Center to present the winning films from their third annual student-produced Set in DC Film Festival.

This year's series is generously sponsored by Pepco, Lafayette Credit Union, LIME, and Wegmans
